Machine shop is a neighborhood bakery located on the ground floor of the BOK building in south Philly. We focus on sourcing and using local products.Sustainability and high standards are the hallmarks of everything we do at Machine Shop. Machine Shop’s aim is to make high-quality, exceptional pastries and breads with ingredients that grow and are cultivated locally. We are looking to add an experiencedPastry Chef or Bakerto head our small team. An ideal candidate would be organized, passionate, self motivated, and detail oriented.Candidate Pre-Requisites Experience with high-hydration sourdough breads Proficent in lamination techniques Ability to set and maintain standards A strong foundation in traditional techniques and the desire to continue learning
