Job Overview
Lynda's at the Ocean Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards and delight our guests. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the planning and execution of daily specials and catering events.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control to ensure adequate supplies.
Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards.
Experience in restaurant or catering environments is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Basic kitchen management skills, including inventory control and menu planning.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary techniques.
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation.
