Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York. Your main role will be to manage customer applications, maintain precise customer records, and resolve customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure accurate processing of customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner Maintain and update customer credit records consistently Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to manage and monitor accounts Handle account coding tasks and ensure they align with the company's financial policies Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions based on their status Use ADP - Financial Services and Concur for various accounting functions Carry out Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, including Accrual Accounting Perform auditing tasks as needed to ensure financial compliance Manage transactions via Automated Clearing House (ACH) to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is required. Must be skilled in using Accounting Software Systems. Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential. Knowledge of Concur is necessary. Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required. Must possess a strong understanding of Accounting Functions. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is needed. Must be well-versed in Accrual Accounting. Auditing skills are necessary for this role. Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) is required.
