Talent Acquisition Specialist - Home Health Aide Training Program (fulltime days)
Role and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Team Leader, provides full cycle recruiting in a high-volume environment and handles hiring decisions when required.Essential Functions
Builds a pipeline of applicants by utilizing available recruiting tools.
Represents HCR at internal and external recruiting events.
Uses critical thinking and creativity to align candidates to a matching employment opportunity.
Using tools and training provided, researches potential applicants to ensure they meet minimum requirements.
Within established deadlines, contacts potential applicants to conduct phone screens; schedules and conducts in person interviews; and if necessary, schedules follow up interviews with hiring manager or designee.
Using tools provided, prepares fair and equitable compensation / offer packages.
Uses independent judgement to confidently make hiring decisions as approved.
Collects required credentialing and on-boarding paperwork; ensures a complete and accurate employee file is submitted to Human Resources.
Establishes new hire touchpoints during onboarding process to ensure a positive new employee experience.
Is present to meet/greet new hires on start date.
In partnership with the Team Leader, develops and maintains a plan for community outreach through networking, job fairs, creative recruiting events, on- and off-site presentations, and ad placement that is in line with budget.
Establishes and maintains relationships with NYS Dept. of Labor workforce development, college/university/trade school career services offices, and other key candidate channels in the communities the agency serves.
Maintains relationships with FLPPS key contacts, EE Pathways and other pertinent grant program contacts/key stakeholders.
