Mechanic

Mechanic needed for business in Rockingham County, NC. This is a stable, long-term opportunity.

Job description:

Maintain, service, and repair fleet of gas and diesel powered farm equipment including wheeled and tracked equipment and trailers. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: fluid and filter inspections and changes, replacing brake pads, maintaining and repairing tractors and attachments, maintaining and repairing pickup and heavy trucks, monitoring and repairing seals, maintaining and when necessary repairing electrical systems, repairing trailers, tires, tracks, rollers, fenders.

Assist in purchasing parts and tracking deliveries.

Maintain a safe and productive working environment.

Use analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues as they arise to ensure a positive outcome

Foster a positive work environment and uphold company policy and procedures

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of a certification program focused on vehicle or equipment maintenance and repair

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Ability to use many different tools without requiring assistance

Ability to work both individually and as part of a team

Excellent Organizational and Diagnostic skills

ASE / Other Mechanic Certifications preferred

CDL preferred

Must have personal hand tools; specialty tools will be provided. Welding experience preferred.

Ability to Work Independently but also as a Team

Must be able to work occasionally in the rain. Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, handle objects up to 30 pounds reguarly and 70 pounds occasionally.
