We support a quality educational experience that provides learning opportunities for our diverse student body. Our curriculum offers courses that prepare students for completion of the Business Management Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, the Business Transfer Pathway Associate of Science (AS) degree, other degrees and certificates, and transfer. Faculty teaching in the Business Software and Administrative Management program affiliate with the Business Department. Their curriculum supports the Business degrees as well as the Business Software and Administrative Management Associate of Applied Science degree and certificate. Teach a broad spectrum of Business and Business Software and Administrative Management courses including day and evening classes, and utilizing different instructional modalities, including online, face to face, and hybrid delivery formats.
Work as a team member in maintaining a student-ready learning environment that meets the educational needs of a diverse student body.
Contribute to department, division, and college goals, which provide the basis for program planning, implementation, evaluation and support
Maintain currency in their knowledge of new digital or software tools supporting the administrative and operations functions of business
Engage in scholarly activities consistent with the college’s goals
Be committed to the success and retention of underrepresented students
Demonstrate knowledge of and experience in assessment of student learning outcomes.
Participate in the development and improvement of curricula and courses.
Participate in faculty and department meetings and College-wide committees.
Minimum QualificationsEducation Requirement
Master's degree in business administration or business management; or
Master's degree with a minimum of 27 graduate quarter/18 semester credits in business administration and/or business management.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in business office applications and operations.
Recency Requirement
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Coursework beyond the Master’s degree
Post-secondary teaching experience
Microsoft Office Specialist Certification or five years’ experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office applications
Instructional or work experience in one or more of the following areas: project management, business analytics, business applications of artificial intelligence, or workforce development
Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
Verifiable paid work experience in the field of business
An understanding of the community college mission and its unique student population
Experience in online learning and/or course delivery using web-based course management systems such as D2L
Commitment to applied and experiential learning in and outside of the classroom.
Experience teaching courses with innovative teaching practices to support the success and retention of underrepresented students, including students of color, first-generation students, and Pell eligible students
Evidence of continuous professional development related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Demonstrated commitment to collegial activities - service on committees, developing assessment, and guiding students.
