Job Description:
The Construction Services Manager will oversee all aspects of our CMET operations, including the management of specialized construction observation and testing services. This role ensures quality control, adherence to standards, and seamless coordination between our team and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the CoMET team, including engineers, technicians and support staff, delivering quality construction support services.
Oversee field and laboratory testing of construction materials, such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project managers to address construction challenges and provide timely solutions.
Monitor project progress and proactively manage any subsurface condition discrepancies to reduce construction delays.
Maintain quality assurance and control protocols for all testing and reporting processes.
Provide mentorship and training to team members to foster professional growth.
Participate in industry events and committees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
Preferred 3 to 5 years of experience in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or a similar field.
Familiarity with local industry standards, as well as ASTM and AASHTO testing procedures.
Proven experience managing complex field operations related to geotechnical construction and testing.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication abilities.
