ATI is seeking to hire an Electrical Engineer to support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This position will be based at our operations in Washington, Pennsylvania.The ideal candidate will provide engineering expertise and support for operations areas through new equipment design and/or existing equipment modification to optimize efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.Essential Functions:

Design, test, install and maintain electronic equipment and machinery in operations areas.

Coordinate project work with plant organizations. Estimate project electrical and instrument costs, manpower needs and schedules.

Develop standard operating procedures to improve quality or reduce or eliminate quality problems.

Review and analyze complex statements, standards, specifications, engineering drawings and other documentation to determine engineering requirements.

Provide and direct technical expertise and assistance to engineers, technicians, hourly craft personnel, etc.

Design and/or repair complex electronic and electrical assemblies and systems using components such as integrated circuits, electronic tubes, transistors, resistors, inductors, capacitors, transformers, switches, etc.

May design electronic circuitry, analog or digital electronic components to achieve engineering requirements.

Perform and/or support the performance of testing involving the electrical integration of equipment and processes.

Develop or modify computerized procedures for testing of electronic assemblies and systems.

Determine appropriate test criteria and procedures and analyze data comparing against specified and computer values, making changes and improvements as needed.

Troubleshoot problems, analyze and resolve issues accurately and efficiently. May inspect, certify and evaluate on-site operational systems and design modifications.

Prepare reports, proposals and presentations analyzing customer technical requirements and recommend solutions and process improvements.

Prepare specifications, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with selected contractors and vendors.

Responsible for electrical and instrumentation aspects of capital and expense projects.

Work closely with electric utility companies on electrical matters.

Monitor plant electrical maintenance work to ensure that it conforms to safety and code requirements.

Consult with management of problems and process improvement objectives.

May be responsible for supervising hourly-union maintenance workforce
