Part-time audiologist

Looking for a part-time audiologist to spearhead audiology services and hearing aid dispensing to our new practice focused on ears.

Ear Bar is a new medical venture that focuses on ears. With on-site ENT providers offering services to treat common ear conditions, audiology services will also be offered as a mainstay to the care of the patient. We are the one-stop shop for ears.

Qualifications

Audiologist, Licensed (IL)

Master's degree or higher from accredited program in Audiology

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence

Successful completion of the national board examination and of the Clinical Fellowship Year

Ideally minimum 2 years experience, open to new entry level for the highly motivated individual

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers

Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking, flexibility and creativity when resolving customer issues

Ability to effectively handle challenging situations

Strong data, analytical and finance orientation

Ability to balance multiple priorities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

The Audiologist provides diagnostic and habilitation/rehabilitation services for patients with hearing and other ear-related health conditions

This role performs diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid selection, fitting and follow-up services, tinnitus retraining

Obtains case history and formulates appropriate individualized evaluation plan

Performs complete, accurate basic audiologic evaluation and accurately communicate results

Assess individual amplification options, selects appropriate amplification options, verifies appropriateness of fitting, utilizes real-ear measurement techniques

Provides patient education (care, use amplification), discusses purchase agreement terms, addresses post-fitting issues, adjusts amplification

May perform other duties as assigned
