This posting is for a high-volume restaurant. Candidates with prior restaurant experience will be given priority consideration. Proficiency in English is highly preferred to ensure effective communication within the team.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards

- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety guidelines

- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies

- Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

- Assist with catering and special event food preparation as needed

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment

- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques

- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team setting

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Skills:

- Cook: Proficient in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using different cooking techniques.

- Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen equipment, tools, and procedures.

- Catering: Experience in catering events, including food preparation, presentation, and setup.

- Food service: Knowledge of customer service principles and ability to provide excellent service in a food service setting.

- Food safety: Understanding of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure food safety.

- Dietary aide: Experience working in a dietary department or assisting with meal planning for specific dietary needs.

- Food preparation: Skilled in prepping ingredients, measuring quantities, and following recipes accurately.

- Food handling: Ability to handle food safely, including proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
