Role Definition

Under general supervision of the President, Full Charge office manager will be responsible to maintain all financial records for the company. Attend all weekly Management Team meetings to provide financial updates. Provide weekly reports on proprietary Cash Management Report and Flash Report. Encouraged to present process improvements between functional business units. Work on cross functional teams and create documented new processes.

Washington Stormwater offers Medical after 90 days, 401K after a year with employer match, a week paid vacation after a year. Compensation ranges on experience $55,000-$80,000 a year, this is a full time position.

Duties and Requirements

Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.

Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a proper chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.

Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.

Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.

Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.

Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.

Maintains historical records by filing documents.

Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Manages/Performs all aspects of the weekly payroll for the company.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.

Prepares thorough year end QuickBooks files to Company Accounting Firm.

Manages all HR functions inclusive but not limited to New Hire and Termination process.

Working knowledge of Certified Payroll

Casual business attire environment.

Uses time wisely and able to switch gears as requested.

Maintain good working relationship with all company employees.

 Create Monthly Financial Reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Report) Prior to Budget Meeting

 Update Budget, Monthly Budget Meeting

 Deal with any wage garnishments

 Deal with COE utilities for the buildings

As Needed

 Collect All Purchase Orders

 Apply for Any New Business Licenses or Renew Expiring Ones

 DOT CDL health physicals

 Trip permits, oversized load permits

 Setting up new iPad’s for new employees

 Dealing with Verizon when needed

 Making sure new equipment, new vehicles, new pumps, filters, generators are fully insured

Character Traits, Qualifications and Skills

Seven (7) plus years of extensive bookkeeping experience working with yearly revenues in excess of five (5) million dollars

Verifiable expertise with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel) is required.

Excellent QuickBooks skills required.

o QuickBooks certification is preferred.

Construction Industry experience is required.

Payroll, Payroll Taxes

Financial Analysis.

Dealing with Complexity.

Thoroughness with Attention to Detail.

Confidentiality.

Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

o CPA is a plus.

Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.

Experience with reconciliations.

Generalist experience with administrative and clerical duties.

Communicates explicitly and specifically.

Always Punctual, Ambitious, and most importantly Likeable.

Solid work history showing progressive reliability and conscientiousness.

Must know prevailing wage and certified payroll (this is a must)
