Immigration Paralegal - 2 Positions

Donoso and Partners, LLC is a nationally recognized immigration law firm located in Bethesda MD. We are seeking 2 full-time immigration paralegals to work in business immigration cases such as E-2, L-1A, H-1B, TN, PERM and EB-5 investments as well as EB-1A and EB-2 National Interest Waivers.

We are looking for:

(1) an experienced self-motivated paralegal to fill a full-time position, and

(2) an entry-level paralegal with a desire to learn and good writing skills for a full-time position.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree. The ability to speak and write Spanish or Chinese is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Help clients gather and organize evidence, draft letters and forms, communicate with clients on case progress.

· Work collaboratively on projects with lawyers and colleagues.

· Handle direct communications with clients, USCIS and Consular Posts.

· Maintain and develop case relevant information, and develop and communicate case analysis and strategies to clients.

· Answer phone calls and hold client meetings in-person or through Zoom or other media.

· Maintain track of open and pending matters and update clients regularly on case progress.

· Analyze requests for evidence and similar USCIS or Government Correspondence; develop a response strategy and prepare and complete response filings on a timely basis.

· Monitor deadlines and maintain a timely calendar internally and with clients.
