Full-time Mother's Helper/Nanny
The mother's helper/nanny's primary duty is to support a devoted stay-at-home mom and follow her lead in helping her raise the children. The mother's helper/nanny will collaborate closely with her, following her lead in nurturing and guiding the children through their formative years. They will assist the mother by establishing a safe and stimulating environment where the children can continue to thrive and grow under shared supervision. They must be willing to take direction and work under the close guidance of the mother, who is actively involved in the children's daily activities.
They are also expected to collaborate with the housekeeper/nanny, helping around the house, ensuring a tidy environment, assisting with errands, and handling other miscellaneous requests. The family values a positive attitude, flexibility, and support to ensure the smooth operation of the household. This is a live-out role; the family requires the mother's helper/nanny to be available from Wednesday to Sunday. However, they should be prepared for schedule changes and adaptable as needed. They will primarily work at the principals' residence in Woodside, CA, but should be ready to travel with the family on vacations and day trips, with advance notice provided.
Job Title: Full-time Live-Out Mother’s Helper/Nanny
Reporting to: The Parents
Location: Woodside, CA, with flexibility to travel as needed
Hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 7am-7pm / alternating weekends, Saturdays & Sundays, 8am -5pm; 90 hours every 2 weeks, with flexibility to work longer hours when traveling.
Salary: Starting at $35 per hour dependent on experience
Benefits: 10 days PTO, 5 sick days, Major federal holidays
The Family: Dad, Mom, 3 kids (3-year-old girl, 1-year-old girl, and a 4-month-old baby)
The House: 3 acres, 8,200 sq ft total for the buildings; main house, guests house and gym. Total 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms.
The Staff: A housekeeper/nanny working Monday-Thursday; a cleaning service once per week; plus, some vendors e.g. external gardeners/ pool maintenance

Childcare
Oversee daily care, including meals, dressing, play, and bedtime.
Manage schedules, activities, and appointments.
Ensure children's health, administer medication, and update parents.
Support educational development and good manners.
Maintain safe, age-appropriate toys and enforce no screen time.
Discipline in line with parental guidelines and step in/out as needed.
Cleaning & Laundry
Keep children's rooms and play areas tidy.
Clean up the kitchen after meals.
Handle family laundry, ironing, and storage.
Change the children’s bed linens as needed.
Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming and dishwashing.
Supplies and Belongings
Ordering supplies, uniforms, clothing, books, toys, etc. as needed and donating those no longer used
Restocking necessary childcare items
Keeping supplies neatly store
Supporting the Family & Team
Running errands as needed
Preparing for, and traveling with, the family as needed
Assisting with ad hoc projects around the home as needed
Requirements
Strong command of English language; good communication skills, both written and verbal
A clean valid Driver’s License, with own car to travel to/from work, run errands and pick up and drop off the children to classes/activities
Legally able to work within the United States
Lives in the surrounding area
Happy to travel with the family as required
Minimum 3 years working in a similar role
First Aid/ CPR trained
Confident swimmer
Must be happy to be vaccinated (COVID, Flu, TDAP, etc.)
Ideal if experience working with babies
Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
Happy to have a background check run (criminal & driver)
Happy to sign a confidentiality agreement and non-disclosure agreement before starting work with the family.
