Job Overview:

The Plasma Table Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining plasma cutting tables used in the fabrication process. This includes setting up the equipment, performing quality checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all operations are carried out according to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operate and set up plasma cutting tables to ensure precise cuts and measurements according to specifications.

-Review technical drawings and blueprints to determine material specifications and cutting requirements.

-Program plasma cutting tables using appropriate software, ensuring that all parameters (speed, power, gas pressure) are adjusted

correctly based on material type and thickness.

-Load materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) onto the plasma table and ensure they are securely positioned for cutting.

-Verify the table's calibration and positioning before starting cutting operations to ensure accuracy.

-Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the plasma cutting machine to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

-Monitor the plasma cutting process to identify potential issues such as misalignment, incorrect settings, or wear on consumables

(nozzles, electrodes).

-Adjust machine settings or perform re-cuts if parts are out of tolerance or defective.

Qualifications:

-Previous experience operating plasma cutting tables or other CNC machinery is highly desirable.

-Strong knowledge of plasma cutting processes, equipment, and materials.

-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.

-Familiarity with CNC programming and machine operation, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.

-Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery safely.
