Paint Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES
Understanding and utilization of the production calendar which determines project workflow and project assignments based on skill level and project due dates.
Understanding and utilization of the contents of a project/art packet (paint sheets and production notes) needed to successfully complete the project.
Ability to mix paint effectively and color match.
Knowledge and use of aerosol and enamel paints.
Knowledge and use of other substances, solvents, and solutions specific to the paint process.
Responsible for cleaning of bottle surfaces and tape removal.
Preparation prior to spraying or air brushing.
Ability to apply paint effectively on simple to moderately detailed designs within project time frame.
Application of paint for display bottle purposes.
Ability to blacken, wax, and label bottles needing fulfillment services.
Responsible for quality control prior to pack out.
Expected to participate in training with more experienced peers to improve paint skillsets and decoration techniques.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent working experience.
At least one (1) year in a production background desired but not required.
Ability to track and document project time.
Ability to read both standard and metric ruler.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to be organized and efficient.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Possible exposure to toxic materials including paints and solvents. Some employees may be exposed to inhalation of vapors and aluminum oxide. For these reasons, employees are required to comply with required safety precautions.
May come to proximity of heavy machinery with swift-moving parts, high-heat lehrs furnaces and other hazards.
Willingness and ability to:
Sit for long periods of time.
Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, squat, and reach over shoulders.
Work in a temperature-controlled environment.
