The Role

This is a full-time role for a Lead Technician on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. Working closely with the CTO, this position will be the primary build technician for our initial batch of cars and will grow into a people leadership role as more technicians are hired to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

Removing original parts from vehicles

Assembling, bench testing, and installing conversion components

(Complete electric powertrain, charging system, low voltage system, cooling system, and battery packs)

Working closely with the engineering team, using clear communication and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications

Knowledge of EV design, components, and construction

High Voltage Training

Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical systems

Experience in conducting both electrical and mechanical inspections

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

ASE certified technician a plus but not required

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Must be able to work standing, bending, or kneeling for extended periods of time

Position Details

Type: Full-time

Location: SF Bay Area

Start Date: Q1 2025

Compensation: $35 - $45 per hour
