We are looking for a groundskeeper, landscaper and construction labor person for a unique residential property.

This is a long-term position in Santa Rosa, you must live in or near Santa Rosa, commuting outside of area does not work.

This is a maintenance position. This job involves landscape maintenance, lawn, plant, bush and tree care, construction projects, moving materials, clean-up work, blowing, irrigation repair, digging holes and other varied work as assigned.

Ability to take instructions and follow established procedures.

Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, planting, and caring for plants, bushes, and trees. lawn maintenance and

fertilizing; basic use and care of hand tools; ability to recognize the signs of basic plant stress.

Ability to focus on specific tasks, be organized and work safely and efficiently with the owner and on your own.

Ability to use construction and landscape tools and maintain vehicles.

Clean driving record to be able to use vehicles. Must be able to drive a stick shift tractor.

Must be punctual, reliable, organized, and willing to do whatever needs to be done.

Maintain equipment and storage areas in a neat, clean manner and in good working condition

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Bend and/or kneel up to 10% of the time.

Stand, and walk up to 90% of the time.

Must be able to work outside during all seasons of the year.

Ability to work independently; self-motivated, follow instructions and procedures.

Knowledge of organic fertilizers and pesticides and their uses is a plus.

Knowledge of the pruning and trimming of fruit trees, roses, and many other perennial plants a plus.

Part-time to full-time. Other opportunities for more hours for exceptionally qualified person.

Non-smoking, No drugs and No alcohol possession or use on the property, no exceptions.

A background check and ongoing drug testing may be conducted at any time.

You need to have at least 2- years of actual landscape maintenance experience and at least 2 years as a construction helper,

or landscaper for a landscape company. You will work independently most of the time.

Clear instructions will be provided. This is a great quiet work environment with very little time driving.

Expected Hours: Full Time (Hours 7-8 a.m.-3-4 p.m. 35-40 hours per week or more as needed.

Compensation: $20 and up per hour depending on skills and experience, day labor off books, work all seasons, some local travel.
