Vacation Rental Property Maintenance and Cleaning Inspector

Looking for: Detail Oriented, Reliable Applicants able to perform routine property inspections and basic maintenance tasks.

Legacy Beach Homes ( https://legacybeachomes.com ) is a family owned and operated business, with 30+ rental homes and offers the most extensive selection of large vacation home rentals between Destin and 30A.

We are hiring an additional inspector (1099 employee) for $50 per inspection to walk through our properties in between guest stays and complete an inspection checklist that includes tasks like photographing and reporting damage, testing and resetting or reporting items not working properly (TV’s, dryers, light fixtures, etc.), wiping off wall scuffs with magic erasers, checking on included amenities like paddleboards and golf carts, rolling trash cans are rolled out to the street properly, etc.

Our property inspections typically take between 1 to 2 hours and the inspector is paid $50.

In addition to the checklist items on the inspections, inspectors can also earn $45 additional per hour to do maintenance jobs such as replacing missing items (brooms, oven mitts, towel/tp holders), replacing damaged blinds, replacing missing smoke detectors, replacing broken door locks, and other repairs/replacements of items needed prior to check in.

In addition to inspecting houses and simple maintenance tasks, inspectors will be required to keep the owners closets stocked for cleaning crews, by picking up needed linen items (i.e. bed sheets, comforters, shampoo/conditioner bottles, etc.) from our office located in Miramar Beach.

The most important quality of our property inspectors is: honesty, reliability, detail-oriented, and willing to complete simple maintenance jobs such as the ones mentioned above

Although we offer flexible scheduling with both part and full time opportunities, you MUST be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays as these are our peak days. And the total amount of compensation will vary widely depending on the number of inspections that you accept and the number of additional maintenance tasks that you perform.

After being trained on inspections, you will typically have about 10-20 inspections per week in the busy season (March through August), with additional off season maintenance work available in the slower season (September through February)
