Now Hiring for Youth Sports Leagues Across Southern California

We are looking for three key positions to join our team for the upcoming youth sports season. These are primarily weekend/seasonal roles, with no work typically in June & July and December & January.

Available Positions:

Organizer

Team Photographer

Individual Photographer (Lead)

Growth Opportunity:

Organizers can advance to Team Photographer, and eventually to Individual Photographer, if desired.

Efficiency:

Must be comfortable working in a high-energy setting and handling tasks swiftly.

Proficiency:

Must have a strong command of photography and equipment, be able to troubleshoot on the spot, and have backup gear (camera, lights, batteries).

Dependability:

Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up where and when expected. Must have reliable transportation.

All applicants must pass a background check.

ORGANIZER:

- Compensation: $200 for 5 hours (flat rate, regardless of full shift completion)

- Additional Hours: $30 per hour after 5 hours

Responsibilities:

- Set up a check-in table

- Display sample products

- Check in teams and ensure they are lined up by height

- All team uniforms must be worn in a uniform manner. This means that shirts should either be tucked in or left untucked (jerseys pulled out) based on team preferences, but must remain consistent across the group.

- Assign parents the duty to fix children’s uniforms

- Ensure all order forms are completed before the child sees the photographer

- Answer questions professionally and calmly

- Handle and verify electronic payments, ensuring cash and checks are properly attached to order forms for the Individual Photographer

- Communicate with Individual Photographer about tracking schedules.

No photography experience required.

TEAM PHOTOGRAPHER

Compensation: $250 for 5 hours (flat rate, regardless of full shift completion)

Additional Hours: $40 per hour after 5 hours

Responsibilities:

- Capture group and team photos

- Maintain a positive, engaging presence with teams

- Direct groups efficiently using a hands-off approach

- Maintain an engaging, hands-off approach when organizing children

- Capture clean, high-quality team portraits efficiently

- Required Knowledge & Equipment:

- Must be proficient with camera settings, including speedlight adjustments, intensity, and exposure compensation

- Most shoots will be outdoors but candidates must be quick at setting up an indoor shoot station.

- Must know how to position yourself to avoid lens flares.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

For outdoor shoots:

- Full Frame DSLR or Mirrorless camera (minimum 45MP)

- On & Off Camera Flash (Speedlight)

- Zoom lens with hood

For indoor shoots:

- Off Camera Strobes (minimum 200 watts) with a reflector, umbrella, or softbox

- Light stands

- Tripod (optional)

- Ability to set up a 10’x20’ backdrop by yourself quickly

INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPHER (Lead)

Compensation: $300 for 5 hours (flat rate, regardless of full shift completion)

Additional Hours: $50 per hour after 5 hours

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the entire shoot day

- Ensure each child has an order form (where applicable)

- Follow the style and specifications requested on order forms

- Capture clean, high-quality individual portraits efficiently

- Maintain an engaging, hands-off approach when organizing children

Required Knowledge & Equipment:

- Must be proficient with camera settings, including on and off camera speedlight and strobes, intensity, and exposure compensation

- Must know different lighting styles for artistic and dramatic effect lighting

- Must be quick at setting up a shoot station

- Must know how to position yourself to avoid lens flares.

For outdoor shoots:

Full Frame DSLR or Mirrorless camera (minimum 45MP)

On & Off Camera Flash (Speedlight)

Zoom lens with hood

For indoor shoots:

Off Camera Strobes (minimum 200 watts) with a reflector, umbrella, or softbox

Ability to set up an individual backdrop quickly
