Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal (3+ years experience)
Rapidly growing law firm specializing in plaintiffs personal injury cases, including construction
accidents, workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability (slip and fall) is
seeking experienced, detail-oriented paralegal with exceptional work ethic and strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Our firm has a reputation for impeccable client service,
getting to know our clients and advocating zealously on their behalf.
As a paralegal, you play a vital role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of personal injury
litigation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and
strategy development.
- Drafting and preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and
briefs.
- Assisting with witness preparation, including conducting interviews and preparing witnesses for
depositions and trials.
- Managing a large caseload under the direction of attorneys.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, providing updates on case developments and
guiding them through the legal process.
- Collaborating closely with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient workflow and
adherence to case deadlines.
- Assisting with trial preparation to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Utilizing legal software such as NYSCEF and CLOUDLEX for case management and
document organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in plaintiffs personal injury law.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research using resources such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with New York State Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) and NYSCEF.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
