Porter / Super - Upper West Side - Live-In

Porter/Super sought to work in three residential buildings on the Upper West Side.

The three buildings are all within walking distance of each other.

Porter/Super receives an apartment (utilities included) within one of the three buildings as part of the compensation package.

To be able to respond to emergencies, must be available 24 hours per day on working days consisting of six days per week.

All work responsibilities, taken together, do not amount to full-time occupation.

State salary requirement and earliest available start date when replying.

Must be able to work legally in the United States.

Duties include but are not limited to:

-keep common area / public parts of buildings clean at all times,

-take care of gathering/sorting and putting out garbage, recycling and composting for collections,

-clean, sweep and mop all common areas / public parts,

-maintain cleanliness of sidewalks and curbs including snow and ice removal,

-clean gutters,

-change lightbulbs,

-adjust heating,

-close and open plumbing valves,

-communicate with tenants and management, and liaise between tenants and management concerning such matters as maintenance or repair requests and administrative issues,

-be first to respond to emergencies until situation is stable,

-provide access to servicepeople to apartments, basement or elsewhere in buildings,

-routinely inspect basements, roofs, common areas and vacant apartments,

-maintain logs
