Position Overview: As our Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate cost estimates and proposals for new projects. You will be responsible for reading plans, tracking RFI's, and effectively communicating with general contractors and architects to resolve discrepancies. Your ability to gather quotes from vendors and subcontractors, input detailed data into spreadsheets accurately, and prepare comprehensive project proposals will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
Manage RFI's and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Obtain and compare quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
Input and maintain detailed project data with precision.
Prepare clear and concise written proposals for new projects.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an estimator in residential finish carpentry or related field.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Resourceful problem-solver who seeks information proactively.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software for data entry and analysis.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, contractors, and architects.
