Live-In Caregiver for mostly independent elderly man

Newly widowed man needs looked after. He is independent still but needs to live with someone in case he falls or has a medical episode. Duties would mostly pertain to housekeeping (dishes, laundry, floors, bathrooms, etc) and maintenance but also companionship and assisting him when needed. Cooking skills a plus but not a requirement. Private bedroom and bathroom provided.

Ideal candidate would be honest, patient, friendly nature, hard worker, no smoking/drugs/alcohol or pets. Criminal background check and character references required.

This position will include only minimal pay. It is better suited for someone who has a paying part-time job and wants to save on rent. It is mostly free room/board in exchange for services with compensation for food, gas, etc.
