Textile Surface Designer / Fashion Designer

Busy Surface Design and Fashion Design Studio specializing in children's wear is looking for a designer to help with weekly projects. Experience with both garment design and textile surface design in illustrator and photoshop is needed. We are looking for someone who has strong hand drawing and illustration skills and the creativity to take designs to the next level yet be brand-appropriate for the diverse client base of the studio.

Experience with graphic design and logo design a plus but this position is more focused on fashion and textile surface design. Please NO graphic print designers without a fashion background.

This is not a full-time position but an ongoing freelance opportunity with the change to grow into a more full-time role.

Qualifications:

-Fashion design degree with experience drawing technical sketches in Adobe Illustrator

-Strong Adobe Creative Suite Skills

-Garment construction knowledge

-Hand drawing and painting skills

-Experience illustrating for the children's market

-Experience with high-end sophisticated customer-base, not mass market
