Seeking Personal Driver & Assistant for Senior (Plus Basic Tech Help)
Compensation: $20–$25/hour (negotiable based on experience)
We are looking for a reliable, patient, and compassionate individual to assist my 79-year-old mother as a personal driver and helper. She has motor function challenges, so you’ll need to be comfortable providing physical support (e.g., helping her in/out of the car, carrying light items like groceries). In addition, she’d like someone who can assist with basic computer tasks—think troubleshooting email, setting up Zoom calls, or navigating simple apps on her phone.
Responsibilities:
- Drive her to appointments, errands, or social outings (must have a clean driving record and reliable vehicle).
- Provide door-to-door assistance due to her mobility limitations.
- Help with light tasks (e.g., shopping bags, opening doors).
- Offer basic tech support (e.g., computer, tablet, or phone help—no advanced IT skills required, just patience and familiarity).
Requirements:
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with mobility issues preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a safe, comfortable car.
- Friendly, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Basic knowledge of computers/tech (e.g., email, Zoom, web browsing).
- Background check may be requested.
Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours—likely 10–15 hours/week to start, depending on needs.
Pay: $20–$25/hour, negotiable based on experience. Paid weekly or per agreed terms.
