Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and safe delivery of goods, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the process. This role involves navigating various routes, handling deliveries efficiently, and maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism. Experience with warehouse operations, commercial driving, and heavy lifting is preferred to support smooth logistics operations.
Duties
Safely operate own cargo van to deliver packages across designated routes
Load and unload goods manual handling techniques
Ensure accurate loading and securement of cargo to prevent damage during transit
Deliver items to residential customers in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service
Navigate assigned routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
Collect signatures or proof of delivery as required
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
Assist with warehouse duties such as moving inventory or organizing stock when not on delivery routes
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Prior experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in warehouse operations preferred
Experience with commercial driving, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles
Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks such as moving, loading, and unloading cargo
Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools
Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary)
Good organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate deliveries and documentation
Ability to work independently while managing time effectively
