POSITION: Pastry Baker AM

HIRING PAY RANGE: $17.75 - $18.00 DOE

HOURS: 4 am – 12 pm

DAYS: TBD - Weekend and Holiday availability required

STATUS: Full Time

We bake everything from scratch from start to finish! With an emphasis on product quality our pastry bakers are responsible for preparing all pastry products for wholesale daily. Depending on departmental needs, the pastry baker will focus on one or several of the following each day: mixing, lamination, rotation of ingredients, stocking, pouring mixes, preparing pans, operating ovens, etc.

Apply and learn how to become a master of the craft! While we prefer one year of scratch baking experience, we are willing to train the right individual if you have a passion to learn and grow!

We are open 364 days a year, weekend and holiday availability are required.

DUTIES:

Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality.

Mix ingredients and knead dough by hand or using mixers.

Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures as needed.

Decorate and finish baked goods with icing, glazes, or other toppings.

Clean and maintain baking equipment and work area.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and fulfill orders.

Stocking and rotating ingredients on shelves and in the freezer.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately

Awareness that product quality is the primary focus.

Have a good sense of time management and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.

Must be a cooperative, considerate team member.

Possesses enthusiastic, polite, and friendly demeanor.

Ability to demonstrate flexibility and team spiritedness by willingness to perform all “as needed” tasks throughout production and to assist in all special projects.

Able to positively accept constructive critique.

Must be trainable on operating various types of equipment safely to perform job duties.

MUST be able to work weekends and holidays.

Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Reliable transportation.

Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.

Ability to properly lift 50 pounds regularly throughout shift along with ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds.

Ability to repeatedly stoop, kneel and crouch throughout shift.
