Olive Lebanese Eatery, located at 1100 N. Glebe in Arlington, is currently searching for an Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of managing successful front-of-house operations in a restaurant setting. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service, customer satisfaction, and efficient operation of the dining and kitchen areas.

Our Hours of Operation are Monday - Friday, 8 am -7:30 pm, and Saturdays 9 am - 3 pm. No Sunday!

$55,000-$65,000 annually. We are looking for a hands-on manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.

Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including hosts, servers, and bartenders. Schedule staff shifts and manage daily staffing levels to ensure optimal service.

Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the dining and kitchen area, ensuring a smooth and efficient service flow. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to maintain seamless service.

Quality Control: Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, proper setup, and adherence to service standards. Conduct regular inspections and implement improvements as needed.

Sales and Marketing: Promote special events, seasonal menus, and other restaurant promotions. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies to attract and retain customers.

Inventory Management: Manage front-of-house supplies, including tableware, linens, and beverages. Monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary.

Monitor sales and expenses and work to improve profitability.

Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and emergency procedures. Staff should be regularly trained on safety practices.

Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a restaurant management role within the restaurant industry.

Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

Organizational Ability: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-Solving: Ability to handle stressful situations, resolve conflicts, and make quick decisions.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge: Understanding of restaurant operations, customer service standards, and health and safety regulations.
