Staff Accountant

We are on a mission to rid the world of car crashes.About This Role: Coastline Academy is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing company. This individual will work remotely and be working under the direction of our accounting manager and CFO. You will play a key role in contributing to monthly closes, payroll accounting, P&L, budgeting, and implementing new processes.Responsibilities include:

Responsible for assisting with monthly closes

Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts

Responsible for maintaining discretion with confidential information

Create controls and assist with audits

Preferred Experience:

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting or Finance

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Working knowledge of GAAP

Knowledge of financial systems such as QuickBooks and Sage

Knowledge of payroll accounting

Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Extraordinary analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills
