Responsibilities
Order necessary food items for events, using cost and quantity control
Prepare all items for Banquets and daily lunches.
Preparing soup, sauces, and stocks.
Responsible for controlling food and supply waste, inventory control
Equipment knowledge-Maintain the care and cleanliness of all mechanical equipment. Provide a safe working environment through proper use of equipment and personal tools.
Preparing a requisition, complete with proper quantities on related events.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience as a Banquet Cook or equivalent
Have current CA food manager card
Ability to work night shifts including weekends
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with a variety of people
Physical aspects of the position include, but are not limited to:
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand entire shift
Ability to read and comprehend English.
PT, FT or on-call- PREP COOKS ALSO NEEDED- Must have Food Handler certification or ability to get one.
