About Us:

We are a 13 story 19 unit condominium building located in the Two Bridges Neighborhood. We are currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Building Porter to join our team and help maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of our condominium buildings.

Job Summary:

The Building Porter will be responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of the condominium’s common areas and facilities. This role involves cleaning, minor repairs, and providing excellent service to residents and guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a friendly demeanor, strong problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on approach to facility management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular inspections of the building and its systems to identify and address maintenance issues.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks and general repairs, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging indoor/outdoor drains.

- Oversee the work of contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

- Ensure the building is clean, safe, and well-maintained.

- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

- Enforce building policies and procedures, including safety regulations.

- Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators.

- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.

- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to the Building Superintendent or property manager.

- Ensure that building entrances and exits are clean and accessible.

- Assist with special projects, such as painting, power washing, etc.

- Onsite for Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday Evening Garbage pick-ups and Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning Garbage Bin Retrieval

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Must Reside within a 3 mile radius of the property (Manhattan Bridge)

- Previous experience in a similar role or in building maintenance is a plus.

- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.

- Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving items.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.
