Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Houston Galleria area. The chosen candidate will be joining our client's team in the service industry, focusing on accounts payable processing and cash reconciliations using Sage Intacct software.Responsibilities: Processing accounts payable in a timely manner Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Utilizing Sage Intacct software for various accounting tasks Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger Managing the month-end close process Handling accounts receivable duties to maintain customer credit records Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in customer credit application processing Regularly monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions Employing Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasksRequirements Possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger management is essential Capable of executing accurate Journal Entries Must have experience in Month End Close procedures Knowledge of Sage Intacct is required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
