Job Title: Maintenance and Janitorial Manager

Reports To: Resident Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days a week, with on-call availability for emergencies.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance and Janitorial Staff member to join our
team. This role is essential in maintaining the property’s safety, cleanliness, and overall quality,
directly impacting resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
● Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team to establish high cleanliness standards throughout the property.
● Execute daily cleaning tasks in common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
● Maintain the pool area, ensuring cleanliness and checking water quality.
● Manage waste disposal and recycling processes, ensuring cleanliness in dumpsterareas.
● Unclog trash chutes and maintain efficient waste management systems.
● Assist with special projects such as painting, power washing, and lighting upgrades.
● Execute water shut-off procedures as necessary and respond promptly to emergencies.
● Serve as the assistant to the Resident Manager, providing support with various administrative tasks.
● Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and inspections, submitting monthly reports to the Resident Manager.
● Communicate effectively with residents, addressing concerns and providing updates on maintenance activities.
● Collaborate with other staff members and external vendors to ensure smooth property operations.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience in maintenance and janitorial work or a related field.
● Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members.
● Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
● Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
