Dining Room Manager
Paper Crane Ramen and Cocktails
Duties include but are not limited to;
– Oversee the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring smooth and efficient service
– Manage, train and hold accountable a team of dining room staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, support staff and bartenders.
– Develop, implement and uphold standard operating procedures for the dining room to ensure consistent service quality
– Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
– Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
– Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
– Maintain inventory of dining room supplies and place orders as needed
– Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and drive sales
Qualifications
– Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry- Strong leadership and team management skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
– The ability to stand, walk, and bend for a period of 8 or more hours as well as lift and carry 25+ lbs.
– Reside in Iowa City or the immediate area with reliable transportation.
– Knowledge of Toast or similar CRM/POS systems
– Familiarity with sake and Japanese style fare a plus
– Understanding of food production processes and culinary terminology
– Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent beverage knowledge
