gardener needed for part time green roof installation and maintenance

Looking for help to plant maintain numerous green roofs in and around the north shore area.

Apex Green Roofs has been building green roofs in the Boston area for nearly 20 years and this could be the perfect opportunity for an interested gardener to learn about designing, building, and maintaining green roofs.

We require immediate help with some green roof that have already been built and now need to be planted. Maintenance of existing roofs is also something that we are looking for help with.

Maintenance candidates will be responsible for scheduling, documenting, and performing green roof maintenance on one dozen green roofs. This role is for someone who can be self directed and deal with clients directly.

Each of our roofs receive between 4 and 8 visits per year. A typical maintenance visit consists of puling weeds, setting up timed irrigation during drought periods, spreading soil amendments as necessary, taking soil samples, and replanting damaged areas.

This role would be perfect for someone with an existing small gardening business.

Candidate should:

have a drivers license

be able to identify plants

be willing to plant and pull weeds for a full 8 hour day

be able to communicate and schedule visits with clients

be able to use Apex organizational filing system (google drive)
