Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and processing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer records. The position involves working in a team environment and being responsible for ensuring customer inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently.Responsibilities: Organize and process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records Handle customer inquiries and resolve them effectively Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on their status Work collaboratively with a team to ensure smooth operations Adapt and be flexible to changes in job responsibilities Use the Sage 100 ERP system for various accounting functions Contribute to a close-knit group environment by fostering collaboration Maintain a problem-solving mindset and not limit oneself to job description Be willing to learn and adapt to new software or technical skills as required. Requirements Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in utilizing ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning software. Extensive experience in executing Accounting Functions. Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures. Ability to handle high volumes of invoices and manage multiple priorities. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices. Strong organizational and time management skills. Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Sage 100 software is considered a plus. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in a changing technological environment. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
