Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist – Lab - Fulltime; NighsFast-paced, high energy Lab department is looking for a top skilled Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist. Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano TX 75093Work hours: Fulltime, Evenings (Monday-Friday 6:00p – 2:30a, occasional weekends)Lab Department highlights:· Opportunities for educational and career growth· Excellent comradery and teamwork· Attentive executive leadership team· Ability to work on several projects or committee if there is a desire· Ability to utilize hands on knowledge from theoryHere’s What You Need· Bachelor's Degree requiredMedical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred (Individual hired as a CLS II/CLS Lead prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS Lead position with existing education)· Four years’ experience/and training in a Medical Laboratory required· Two years’ Leadership experience preferred· MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist upon hire required Or MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist upon hire required Or Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology upon hire required Or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology upon hire required Or BB (ASCP) - Blood Banking if working in Blood Bank upon hire required· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and facilitate cross functional activities and issues· In-depth working knowledge of quality and operations systems and processes· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills required· Demonstrated excellence in presentation and meeting facilitation skills· Proven leadership and problem-solving skills· Innovative development techniques and strategic thinking abilitiesWhat You Will Do· Management of Core Lab competencies and education.· Ensures all lab processes meet regulations and company quality standards as defined by CAP.· Establishes and maintains quality assurance programs, procedures, and controls.· Responsible for the Core Lab CAP proficiency test program.· Ensures that performance and quality of CAP proficiency testing meets established standards.
