Accounts Payable Specialist
Description Job SummaryContract role in Minnetonka will oversee the preparation, recording, verification, and payment of vendor invoices for goods, services, and client payments. This position will be responsible for responding to vendor queries and supporting the business as it relates to payment analyses. The Accounts Payable Coordinator is also expected to ensure external and internal controls as well as policies are adhered to.Key Responsibilities · Coordinates the execution of vendor and client payments· Interfaces with high volume accounts payable and invoice management tool· Assists with/troubleshooting any issues for the travel/corporate cards/expense reporting system, Concur· Assists with auditor inquiries· Assists with process improvements within the A/P function· Assists leadership from within the team for change recommendations and implementation methods or procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounts payable function· Assists with Form 1099 processing· Assists the payables team in resolving account discrepancies by evaluating and approving investigations and resolving special cases· Assists with ad hoc requests/reporting as needed· Other duties as assignedRequirementsRequired / Minimum: · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field · 3+ years of related work experience· Hands on experience with SAP or comparable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience· Demonstrated detail-orientation with strong analytical and interpersonal skills· Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.· Must demonstrate strong skills in: problem solving, financial analysis, PC spreadsheets and cross functional communication· Experience with paperless Accounts Payable processing using work-flow software· Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Requirements Account Coding, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accrual Accounting, Auditing, Automated Clearing House (ACH) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
