In-Home Daytime Aide for Elderly Woman

Location: Middletown, CT

Position Type: Part-time (2-3 days per week)

Job Description:

Seeking a compassionate and reliable in-home aide to assist a good-humored centenarian woman in Middletown, CT. This position requires someone who is patient, kind, and able to aid with daily activities. The ideal candidate will be able to work two days a week (Wednesdays, alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays), with the occasional third day, and will help ensure the client’s comfort and well-being during daytime hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Light cooking (breakfast and lunch)

Assistance administering oral medication

Help with mobility and transfers

Bathing, dressing, and personal care

Companionship and social interaction

Occasional assistance with light housekeeping tasks

Requirements:

Must speak English fluently (client is hearing and memory impaired, we sadly can’t introduce any additional barriers to communication)

Client will not require transportation as part of your role

Must be patient, compassionate, and reliable.

Experience with elderly care required

Non-smokers preferred

Must be comfortable with a small dog in home

Schedule:

2 days per week (Wednesdays, alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Potential for 3 days per week on occasion

Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, hours may vary slightly

Compensation:

$15 per hour, paid in cash

Additional Information:

No holiday or weekend hours expected at this time

Client is memory and mobility impaired; currently using a walker as mobility aid.
