Position Summary:

This position is to support the operations department with janitorial functions as well as coordinate the activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining the premise. To ensure the successful and timely completion of cleaning buildings; and to maintain an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate cleanliness with a focus on detail.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

Assign tasks to workers based on job requirements or special assignments which also includes passing along special instructions from the night supervisor.

Inspect all completed work for conformance to Service by Medallion and client standards (Q.A).

Order and issue supplies and equipment.

Train new workers and oversee on-going training of existing employees.

Responsible for cleaning an assigned area that includes but not limited to the following:

Dusting desks, chairs, counters, blinds and furniture, cleaning lobbies, reception areas, break rooms or other assigned areas. Dusting, vacuuming, spot cleaning, emptying wastebaskets and recycling bins, and mop floors.

Use custodial equipment, supplies and take proper cleaning procedures for various floor and carpet maintenance.

Operates wet vacuum, auto scrubber, extractor, pressure washer, high speed buffer, steam cleaner, and other equipment to properly clean and maintain floors and carpets.

Assist custodial staff for special projects and/or perform any open job for which coverage is necessary due to departmental absences.

Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

Clean using appropriate methods, equipment, and chemicals.

Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position as it requires face-to-face interaction.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age.

Must be able to pass a background check satisfactory of our pre-employment screening process.

Must have janitorial experience.

Must have floor care utility experience (preferred).

High school diploma/GED required OR equivalent work experience in leiu of.

Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.

Must be able to read and communicate both verbally and written in English (Spanish preferred).

Strong knowledge of standard janitorial duties, cleaning techniques, products and equipment preferred.

Experience in Lead or Foreman or similar type of role. Similar or like industry preferred.

Qualifications:

Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as but not limited to safety data sheets (SDS), operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, etc.

Must be able to understand and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high volume, detail-oriented work environment.

Be able to work in a team-oriented environment or individually with minimal supervision as needed.

Maintain a positive attitude at all times and be able to assist the team/department to complete goals.

Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients, supervisor, and coworkers.

Strong interpersonal skills and customer service oriented.

Physical Requirements:

Requires the ability to move, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials 35%.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.

Requires extensive use of hands (ability to reach over, bend and extend hands) 35%.

Reach above and below shoulder height, constant walking, standing in one place for long periods of time, bending, stooping, lifting, kneeling, etc. 55%.

Work in varying temperature environments (internal and external parts of the building).

May require exposure to noise and dirt when at a site location and frequent exposure to loud noise.

May require frequent travel between Medallion sites; responsible for providing own transportation.

This job is located in Bothell, WA.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 5:30 PM to 2:00AM & Sunday 12:00PM to 8:30PM // Fridays & Saturdays OFF

Compensation: $28.00 - 30.00 (hourly)
