We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead our dealership’s service department. This role is crucial in ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, maximizing service revenue, and overseeing the daily operations of the mechanic shop. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of automotive service operations and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Lead, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff to provide top-tier customer service.
Monitor and improve key performance metrics, such as repair order count, customer satisfaction scores, and technician productivity.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance services meet manufacturer and dealership quality standards.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize service department revenue through upselling maintenance services and repair work.
Manage warranty and service contract processes, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Oversee parts ordering and inventory to ensure efficient workflow and cost control.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and dealership policies.
Work closely with other dealership departments to create a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Service Manager or in a leadership role within an automotive service department.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and manufacturer service guidelines.
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
Proficiency in dealership management software and service scheduling systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns effectively.
ASE certification or manufacturer training is a plus.
