We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Painter and sandblaster to join our team in Greeley, Colorado. In this role, you will prepare and finish structural steel components through sandblasting and industrial painting processes. This hands-on position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes. Key Responsibilities:
Sandblasting: Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare structural steel by removing dirt, rust, scale, and contaminants from the surface.
Painting: Apply industrial coatings and paints to steel surfaces, ensuring a smooth, uniform finish that meets quality and durability standards.
Inspection: Conduct quality control checks to ensure proper surface preparation and coating thickness and address any defects or inconsistencies.
Safety & Maintenance: Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating sandblasting and painting equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with fabrication and production teams to meet project timelines and ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in structural steel painting and sandblasting.
Strong knowledge of industrial coatings, sandblasting techniques, and surface preparation.
Ability to read and follow technical specifications and blueprints.
Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality finishes.
Comfortable working in an industrial environment and using safety equipment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
